The YOO + Heta Residences are a series of luxury concept homes designed for an aspirational lifestyle and informed by in depth research and global wellness trends. Our creations offer adaptable, sustainable contemporary design that has a positive impact on its users physical and mental wellbeing. Our aim is to set the benchmark for the best in residential lifestyle and design Internationally.

An insight-led design approach responded to key trends in the Korean domestic travel market focused on a desire for nature integration, social connection, lifestyle experience and bespoke service. The homes cater to large groups of friends and families and provide an aspirational lifestyle through the services and amenities offered, tapping into the popular ‘Hocance’ and ‘Pencance’ trends in South Korea.

The homes have been designed to the highest benchmarks of quality and residential lifestyle aspirations.
Wellness facilities blended at a human domestic scale, natural materials and a 'graded threshold' connection to nature are all key elements to the internal and external design vision.
'It’s been a great experience partnering with YOO to meet the challenge of creating the best in residential lifestyle and design. Our shared vision is to create a home away from home, with the experience and services of a luxury hotel, and wellness at the heart of the design.'

Residence Typologies
Living spaces are positioned at the extremity of the homes volumes, surrounded by nature.

We created a family of house types combining a series of intersecting volumes that are distinct but share a common identity; T-House, X-House and Z-House. In each type, the main social space is located at the heart of the home, where family and friends come together. Living spaces are positioned at the extremity of the volumes, surrounded by nature. The modular organisation gives an inherent flexibility to expand or contract the home to adapt to site and client requirements.

Luxury living spaces are designed to blur the boundaries between outdoor & Indoor spaces with openable thresholds, and framed views to nature. Interior social spaces flow into outdoor gathering zones where fire pits, barbeques and picnic areas allow people choice on dining and socialising.

Social spaces are the centre of the homes to nurture the connection with family and friends.
The exterior design blends the vernacular of a traditional Hanok with a bold contemporary architecture.

The house features a precision-engineered timber roof which references the Korean vernacular houses yet has a bold, contemporary aesthetic. A frame & infill modular system uses cross laminated timber and contains less carbon than a typical steel or concrete system. Passive & active environmental strategies have been considered from initial stages of design with a whole life cycle carbon approach to ensure that a net-zero design solution is achieved. Principles of orientation, passive shading and wind protection are combined with low energy mechanical ventilation, heat recovery, ground source heat pump and renewable energies.

Wellness is fully embedded within the residence design. The homes will be part of a development which also will combine a variety of community & wellness activities and facilities for shared use. Within each home, atmospheric spaces engage the body & mind and promote a healthy lifestyle. Air quality, light and privacy control are carefully considered to ensure an enriched experience. In-built technology such as integrated home hubs, circadian lighting, air management systems, and sanitising closets are proposed for user control and resident wellbeing.

Luxury living within touching distance of nature.
